let the eyes have it …

Another success story for my favorite charity, The Fred Hollows Foundation, this time from Burundi.

Fortunately for me, I successfully had a cataract removed last week myself, so I just love to support this charity:

Pure joy.

There’s simply no other way to describe the reaction in this video.

When seven-year-old Leo returns to his home in remote Burundi with sight restored, the whole village turns out to meet him – and what happens next is one of the most amazing celebrations we’ve ever witnessed.

The whole village celebrates when Leo's sight has been restored

The shy little boy who spent most of his time in a dark room is suddenly a hero. And it’s all because of the support of people just like you.

This is the kind of moment that would have made Fred Hollows smile. It’s the kind of moment you create every time you donate to the sight-saving work he started.

Click here to add some joy to your day – please enjoy our video.

Witness the joy: watch the video

Thank you.

From all of us at The Fred Hollows Foundation.
