nerves frayed, hypocrisy kicks in …

…In reply to a Facebook post here below, it obviously touched a nerve, causing an outburst claiming it was “racist ignorant rubbish.”

    • It is only about the side after all, humanitarian has nothing to do with it, nor does drowning women and children at sea matter, it seems. So he thinks stopping the rickety boats from leaving Indonesia is “racist ignorant rubbish.

      • If any of my friends, family or networks intend on voting for Tony Abbott, do 3 things for me, 1.) watch this. 2.) try and explain to me why you would possibly vote for this sociopath. 3.) Please un friend me if you still intend to vote for him. Thanks

Heh, I went to do his bidding but it was too late, he had already beaten me to it and unfriended me!

So, who is Jaxon Barnes? A campaigner for The Wilderness Society, in Melbourne, which explains his outburst.

More here: The items in my post comment that upset him, was on his link which appears to have disappeared, where he was highly praising Burnside about refugees:

      • Andrew Bolt: With so many on the Left it’s the side, not the principle. They will accept from the Left what they abhor from conservatives:

Abbott’s fault! Marr, The Guardian (Australia) Monday:

IT took Abbott to work us up into a lather again over the boats. And he did it, insisting … that a competent government … must stop the boats … In the terms set by Abbott … the arrival of a single boat is a mark of government failure.

Whose fault? Julia Gillard and Mark Latham press release, April 23, 2003:

ANOTHER boat on the way, another policy failure. (This) is a stark reminder that the Howard government policy is not working. … The Howard government has said that a Coastguard is not needed because there are no more boats coming. They should now recognise the folly of that statement. Only Labor has a comprehensive policy to deal with … refugees.

All about politics! Julian Burnside tweets Monday:

THE tragedy is that refugee policy now is ALL about politics, when it should be all about humanitarian concern.

Stop the Libs! Julian Burnside tweets Monday:

LET’S face it: the PNG arrangement is a shabby deal, but at least if (sic) might stop Scott (“illegals”) Morrison becoming Immi Minister.

        UPDATE
Chris Kenny describes Julian Burnside quite well.

Racist ignorant rubbish? A sad case of self-projection I think.
