The future for living in Broome…if Woodside win

Heard some disturbing information on ABC PM last night…feller talking about the Pilbara and the accommodation shortage. Any person who arrives wanting a basic place can expect to pay upwards of $1300 PER WEEK! Also mentioned was the cost of building a new place there is $3,500 PER SQUARE METRE, due largely to the cost of transporting materials long distances etc. They also said they had a need for 2000 new homes PER YEAR, but only 200 were being built. Scary facts for industrialised Broome.
