Since my 10 days in the wilderness of the West Australian Kimberley Region, out of range of the internet and phone, a lot has happened in the weather that is happening globally.
So how did the Nobel Prizewinning IPCC do?
Since the end of January, Eastern Europe has been pummeled by a record-breaking cold snap and the heaviest snowfalls in recent memory. Hundreds of people, many of them homeless, have died in the frigid weather and tens of thousands have been snowed in.

Extreme cold in Europe, especially eastern Europe, Russia too.
Extreme cold and snow in Algeria.
Extreme cold in Alaska.Canada too.
Rain and very cold in Peru and other Andean countries.
I use the term extreme, as that is what various news reports are calling it. It is just weather, though. Now it’s Mexico’s turn…
Even Sydney feels the cold…
Not just the day, not just the month, but the entire summer.
Thank goodness I live in Broome, the ‘gateway’ to Western Australia’s Kimberley region, where the last 70 years is just 0.1C higher than the previous 50 years. Magical.
