Hypocrisy of the left. ‘Journalist?’ David Marr is a master hypocrite.
You’ve seen Marr’s slavering interest in a highy dubious and denied allegation of 19-year-old Abbott punching a wall.
Let’s now contrast that with the interest he showed in what Gillard in her 30s did at Slater & Gordon, which seems to have forced her out over the scandal of the Australian Workers Union Workers Reform Association – a slush fund she helped her boyfriend to set up. Here is Marr’s entire reference to that part in Gillard’s life in a lengthy (and flattering) profile he wrote in 2010:
At the age of 26, Gillard began to work with the big Melbourne union law firm Slater & Gordon. While living a parallel life in the factional wilderness of Victorian Labor politics, she spent a decade working in the largely man’s world of union disputes. The key skills were concession, negotiation and resolution. She discovered when to fight and when to fold. She learnt all there is to know about compromise.
Astonishing. The scene of one of her greatest failures of judgement is described as a school of her greatest virtues.
Marr is truly one of the most flagrant propandisers of the Left. No subtlety at all. (Andrew Bolt)
