whaling near Broome … with cameras

Sea Shepherd Australia‘s album: Day two of Operation Kimberley Miinimbi.

On the second day of Operation Kimberley Miinimbi, the crew of the Steve Irwin and its guests spotted over 120 whales along the coastline of Broome and at Walmadan – James Price Point, Australia. Woodside; the company behind the proposed Gas hub development, has previously claimed that the majority of the whales in this area live outside of the proposed developments reach, yet today the Steve Irwin saw hundreds of mothers and calves right along the coastline.
