Suburb ‘greenness’ correlates with residents’ cardiovascular health

I have sent thousands of native trees and shrubs to places all over the Northwest of Western Australia, from Indigenous communities and councils to developers and mining companies, mostly from my backyard.

With help from the unemployed, the underemployed and the never to be employed, we have turned around the suburb brownness to become greenness throughout the region.

We have fought against the ‘authorities’, the rednecks and the ignorant, to landscape with considerable numbers of seedlings with seed collected from the bush into an environment full of cars, machines and weeds. All from my backyard. Now they are all on our side.click to enlarge:
