Broome’s January temperature data of maximum and minimum is marginally below the long term average.  Early month heat was turned around rapidly with rainfall extending over several days from Tropical Cyclone ‘Iggy’ off Exmouth late in the month. Sea surface temperatures out from Broome are still warm from the La Nina, so more storms and cyclones should have an influence during February and March..
