The Broome people protesting against Woodside

“two groups central to the fight to stop the development were defiant yesterday. The Wilderness Society blamed Mr Barnett for fuelling tensions with “his incessant advocacy of this unwanted proposal” and Save the Kimberley blamed Woodside workers for provoking protesters until they lost their tempers.”
Jabirr Jabirr man Neil McKenzie said he was surprised during the vote to see teenagers as young as 15 casting a ballot.”Those were the rules that the land council had, and they flew people in and paid their accommodation and fuel money so they would vote for it,” he said.

Mitch Torres also had this to say on ABC Radio National.
