Dishonesty in Ferguson’s comments, privilege means something different to him.
Firstly, I do regard myself as privileged to live in a community such as the one we have for Broome. I am privileged to count as among my friends, a wide range of personalities, indigenous, multicultural, lefties, conservatives, and from all ages and backgrounds, unique in Australian towns.
I am privileged to be able to live in and visit one of the last unspoiled wildernesses that is the Kimberley region.
Most of all, I am privileged to be able to camp, fish, birdwatch, bushwalk, eat local bush fruits, walk the reefs, swim at the safe beaches, and all this at (currently un-spoiled) James Price Point, otherwise known as Walmadany.
More still, I am privilegedto be a part of the Broome Community, nearly all of whom are also privileged to be able to fight
against this monstrosity that is proposed by our state government.
I am also privileged to be an Australian, an immigrant as a child from Africa. Mr. Ferguson, are you not privileged too?
Martin Ferguson…You are an IDIOT
