Letter to a journalist…no answer

Hello Michael,
I have read your article in the West Australian regarding ‘carbon pollution’. This is a ridiculous loaded term, initiated by green groups who had difficulty with the public accepting the propaganda that carbon was responsible for anthropogenic global warming, and taken up by ideologues from the left side of politics. There is a large amount of evidence that CO2 has very little effect on the small amount of natural warming, and life would have great difficulty existing without it. There are many periods in the past where the world has been warmer with much less CO2 in the atmosphere as well as colder with much more.
There are many reasons for changes in the earth’s temperature including the effects of solar activity, clouds and the urban heat island effect to name a few. The climate is very complex and even the BOM and CSIRO are often wrong on short term weather, let alone the climate. There are a large number of papers, articles and websites that can explain this better than I can. If you care to look, there are nearly 1000 items to choose from on my Facebook wall, linking also to thousands more. I have devoted thousands of hours of research on this topic, and I am completely convinced that this ‘computer-modeled theory’ has been falsified in recent research.
Carbon is an essential element of life, and there are considerable benefits to an increase of CO2 in the atmosphere, in more plant growth and higher crop yields. I am in the environmental business and have written nearly 100 columns in an associated  West Australian country paper.
Kind regards
