Check out these great images from award winning photographer Ingetje Tadros, known for many fabulous photographs of culture and heritage, taken in the most remotest regions of Africa and Asia, now Australia.
Now living in Broome, Western Australia, the Broome Community was fortunate in having Ingetje’s presence while the protests by the Community were in full swing to prevent Woodside and the State Government turning Broome into the next Dubai or Qatar Industrial City.
This large set of images is an event held at Walmadany, part of the proposed site for a giant LNG processing plant. This area is otherwise known as James Price Point. The event was held to celebrate the indigenous effort in protecting the country from development.
Walmadany is the most significant heritage and environmental site within hundreds of kms of broome.
