Here in Broome, Woodside have used the Kimberley Land Council with funds and support from the State Government to corrupt the indigenous approval process for James Price Point. The local custodians for the area were not and have never been represented by the KLC. They have always said No to this disastrous proposal.
Update: The Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation has received evidence showing FMG forced heritage consultants to change a heritage report about the significance of the area by threatening to withhold payments on their invoices “if we did not comply” with FMG’s request.
